Who we are

Vesper Conservation & Ecology is an ecological consultancy based in Stockbridge, Hampshire. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at hello@vesperconservation.co.uk or on 07881 027732.

What we collect

When you submit our contact form we collect your name, email address, telephone number if you provide one, and whatever you tell us about your project. If you email or call us directly, we hold that correspondence. We do not collect special category data, and we do not ask for payment details through this website.

Why we use it

We use your details to respond to your enquiry, to prepare quotations, and to deliver work you engage us for. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests where you have approached us about a possible project, and performance of a contract once you become a client. We do not send marketing emails and we never sell or share your data with third parties for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted after 24 months. Records relating to completed work, including survey data and reports, are retained for seven years to meet professional, insurance and tax obligations.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses only the cookies necessary for it to function. If we add analytics in future, we will use a privacy-respecting service that does not track you across other websites, and we will update this page before doing so.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask us to transfer it elsewhere. Email us and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
